JT2 on the Porch....

Here's my June 1st set of Just Takes 2 blocks. I decided to do Kansas Troubles instead of Buckeye Beauty.

I'm wondering how ya'll are doing on A Little Porch Time? My block is done and because I am going to Vermont Quiltfest via New Jersey I'll be posting my block and the linky about the 25th. Will you be ready with block one (the house) and block 2 (the zinnia's)? I can't wait to see them!!

  1. Love your JT2 blocks, the Kansas troubles is a good alternative block, if the girls include it in their selections down the track you can always revisit Buckeye beauty.

  9. Looking forward to seeing more of your "porch" quilt.
I admit that I am jealous about your trip to Vermont, for all the usual reasons and because DD#1 moved to NH last month and that is just a stone's throw away.

  10. I'm trying to get my block done. Having trouble with the house(yes I'm behind) Talk to a group of ladies who just finished the quilt. That help a lot. Now if I could just stop and sew it down : )

  12. I too am substituting blocks on occasion. I'd rather paper piece than try to hand piece some of their creations. I like hand piecing but on uncomplicated things.

  15. Your blocks are a great inspiration. I need a couple of uninterrupted days of sewing to get caught up.

  16. Oh! You are fast! I am out of practice doing applique and am only about 1/3 of the way thru the first big flower. Those little "u"s inside the petals were tough. I ve gone back to my tried and true applique methods tho and it s going faster/better now. A couple good days on the beach and some sewing time and I ll be done...but I won t be done by 25th I don t think.

Is it bad to ask what block is next? Is it distracting? I d like the preview time to pull out or source fabrics...

    lizzy @gone to the beach

ps To the liz, above, who said she's having problems with the House..is it anything we/ I could help with? She d be welcome to email me for my inexpert support etc...
