Vintage Quilts

One thing I liked about the quilt show is they had vintage quilts displayed. If you've been reading my blog long, you'll know I love vintage and antique quilts..

I thought the quilting in the blue squares was unique.

My friend's grandmother made this for her. She was influenced by this Grandma's stitching and is now a quilter.

This is not sideways. (cute quilting in the setting squares on this one too)
The setting with the squares facing out from the center was just like my Sally Post quilt. I think it is humble and charming how the maker made the left row was so different then the other blocks.
I hope you enjoyed seeing these as much as I did.
Have a wonderful Wednesday.

  4. Thank you for sharing these lovely vintage quilts !! I love them....
Maybe the quilter had not enough fabrics to finish her quilt and add this row ! It's not usual but finally, so cute !

  8. Thanks for sharing! The quilt with the peach zig-zags was intriguing. I'm not sure what the block is called, but the red bottom part looks kind of like a heart.

  13. The pink background quilts with the baskets are my favorites. Sort of scrappy make do. I like how the larger stripe was used. It looks grey and white in the picture.
